Woodlands School of Motoring is an independent driving school based in Dorchester, Dorset and established by Phil Woodland in 1997. I am a fully qualified DSA Approved Driving Instructor and do not employ any other instructors as the reputation of my driving school is very important to me.

I offer a full range of courses to satisfy all your driving needs ranging from beginners to advanced and every course will be structured to your requirements.
Due to poular demand I now only offer dual cotrolled AUTOMATIC learner driver tuition. However I am able to offer tuition in your own car, subject to ability, if required.

For learners I offer patient professional automatic driving tuition in a dual controlled air conditioned Vauxhall Corsa Club. Nervous pupils are catered for - there is no strict lesson plan - you only move onto the next stage when you are fully confident. Intensive courses are also available.

For newly qualified drivers I offer Pass Plus, motorway and advanced driving tuition .

For qualified drivers I offer refresher courses, driver improvement and advanced driving tuition up to Institute of Advanced Motorists (IAM) standards in your own car if preferred.

Retest courses are available for people who have failed their practical test previously with another instructor (or family member) or have had their driving licence revoked in the first 2 years.

Also if you do not live in or around Dorchester but would like to take driving lessons in the peace and quiet of the Dorset countryside, I can arrange a holiday driving course for you including local accommodation if required.
